ReadMeMaker is a simple yet powerful and, above all, easy to use utility that lets you quickly and easily create, edit and open SimpleText read-only documents (handy if you're creating small, compact documentation). Furthermore, it can also be used to open and edit most plain text files.
[quick start]
Double-click on the ReadMeMaker icon, a new document will be created automatically. You can simply begin typing. To save, select Save from the File menu or use the Save button at the top of the document window.
If you wish to edit an existing file (ReadMeMaker can open SimpleText read-only documents, standard SimpleText documents and most plain text files), select Open from the File menu. Use the standard open dialog to navigate and open the file you wish to edit (ReadMeMaker is fully compatible with the new Open and Save boxes provided under Mac OS 8.5 and later).
Please note that if you save changes to an existing document that is not a read-only file, it will be converted to a SimpleText read-only document.
If you're having trouble or need help, you may use the support feature from within the program (under the Help menu).
